An Early Intervention for Dyslexia.

Miss Emma creates resources that enable students to learn to read and spell as quickly as possible, and as an early intervention for dyslexia. Students start at Phase 1 (Oral Language and Phonemic Awareness) which ensures that teachers identify students most at risk of experiencing reading and spelling difficulties, and can address this without delay. Phase 2 is the 'learning to read and spell' phase, when oral language, linguistic and visual phonics, fluency, vocabulary knowledge and comprehension is the focus. A 'Speech to Spelling' and 'Speech to Reading' approach is taken.
